โThis week, in a rare and historic special session, the Iowa legislature voted for a second time to reject the inhumanity of abortion and pass the fetal heartbeat law,โ Reynolds said.
โAll life is precious and worthy of the protection of our laws," she added.
Life wins in Iowa.

"The bill, which passed exclusively with Republican support, will take immediate effect after Reynolds signs it on Friday," OANN reported.
"The new legislation will prohibit abortions after the first sign of a heartbeat, which is usually around six weeks. There are some exceptions for cases involving rape or incest. Certain medical emergencies will also allow for abortions up to 20 weeks as well," it added.
The new law adds to several states that have increased abortion limitations over the last year following the Supreme Court's decision last year to return abortion laws to states.
The six-week fetal heartbeat law closely resembles a similar bill in Texas that made major news ahead of the Supreme Court's decision. Other states now include a near-total abortion ban, including Oklahoma and Tennessee.
The Iowa law is expected to face legal battles in its own Supreme Court, with opponents already calling out for the state's justices to strike down the legislation.
The new bill offers hope for many unborn lives, with another GOP governor standing for the voice of the youngest citizens of the nation.
