Intruder Arrested for Trying to Sneak into Mayor Adams’ Residence
It would appear that New York City Mayor Adams had a little excitement over the holiday week.
Reports broke this week that the NYPD arrested a 20-year-old man who was reportedly trying to sneak into the mayor’s home, Gracie Mansion.
The alleged perpetrator, Michael Aromando, was spotted just before 4:30 a.m. local time.
Got Him
The mayor’s home is guarded heavily by the New York City Police Department, so this was not exactly a bright idea on the part of Aromando.
Adams’ protection detail quickly spotted the wannabe thief and arrested him.
He has since been charged with second-degree attempted burglary.
When police took Aromando into custody, he was in possession of a Christmas ornament he had allegedly stolen from the residence.
During his bail trial, the judge set his bail at $5,000 and gave Aromando an 11 p.m. curfew.
This is rather ironic considering we have seen judges let violent criminals out with no bail, yet the man who took a Christmas ornament gets $5,000 bail… it just makes no sense.
Adams has his own legal problems to worry about, having been indicted for bribery and campaign finance laws.
Adams was allegedly taking money from foreign donors to pump up his campaign war chest, enabling him to take advantage of the city’s match campaign funding rules.
Adams has decided to go the route of Donald Trump, claiming that the DOJ was weaponized against him because he spoke up about Biden’s immigration policies.
Trump has already stated that he would consider pardoning Adams if convicted, but I think that would be a huge mistake.
Trump is only considering this because Adams has been sucking up to Trump as of late, knowing full well that if he can get into Trump’s good graces, Trump would likely consider the pardon for him.
If he is corrupt, he needs to pay the price, period. I, for one, am sick and tired of corrupt politicians getting a pass.
