Influencer Dylan Mulvaney sparks backlash over social media post
Well, Dylan Mulvaney, the trans influencer who nearly singlehandedly bankrupted Bud Light, is back in the news.
Mulvaney recently appeared on “The View,” nodding approvingly as the talking heads on the show tried to convince everyone that biological men should be able to play women’s sports.
However, the American people were not enraged by that, but by a social media post made by Mulvaney to celebrate International Women’s Day.
What?
Mulvaney posted to Instagram, “Happy International Women's Day. One of the best days of my life. I loved meeting you all and can't wait to see more of you on the book tour.
“I am so thankful for the women that surround me and especially Drew Afualo.”
It took about three seconds after the post was made for critics to slam Mulvaney for celebrating a woman’s holiday as a man.
For instance, one user wrote, “His entire ‘personality’ is basically mockery of females. It's insulting.”
I tend to agree, as I simply don’t understand shows like “The View” having Mulvaney on to have a female’s perspective.
I mean, I could care less that Mulvaney dresses like a woman and acts like a woman, but Mulvaney is a biological male dressing up, period.
Mulvaney has been relatively quiet since nearly bankrupting Bud Light with an online promotion, but a new book has brought Mulvaney back out into the public eye, as a book tour is currently underway to promote the new work.
Mulvaney became a bit of a cult figure on social media after the Days of Girlhood series was launched, gathering more than 10 million followers in the process.
Mulvaney was detailing all the different changes being made to make the full transition from man to woman, at least in Mulvaney’s eyes.
This landed Mulvaney all kinds of sponsorships, including a female sports bra line and the nod from Bud Light, which created a collectible can for Mulvaney.
I really wish I could write my true feelings about this, but I cannot for fear of censorship and the entire publication being taken down, so I will let you take from that what you want.
I just do not understand women getting behind this movement, especially when it comes to transgenders competing against biological women in sports.
As I have stated in other reports, if we are going to do that, we might as well just stop separating sports by gender, yet everyone will call that too radical.
I guess it is only okay for men to compete against women if they openly declare they now identify as women. And if you don’t think there are athletes out there who want to win so badly, they would not do just that, I have some great swampland in Florida that I can sell you.
