Indian Actor Nitin Chauhaan Dead at 35

Yet again, another young star takes his own life amid a career on the rise.

Nitin Chauhan, an up-and-coming Indian actor, reportedly died by his own hand on Thursday, November 7.

He was only 35 years old.

Rough Times

Even though Chauhaan was a rising star, like any actor just starting out, work was sometimes hard to come by.

For an entitled generation, this is often just too much to take, and it was reportedly taking a mental toll on Chauhaan.

According to reports, Chauhaan’s wife decided to take their daughter for a walk, leaving him alone in the house.

When they returned, the door was locked, and nobody was answering the doorbell.

His wife forced her way into the home, only to find the horrifying sight of her husband hanging from a ceiling fan.

Chauhaan’s wife confirmed that the lack of work was impacting his mental health, and the young star had fallen into a deep state of depression.

Fellow actor and friend, Sunny Sachdeva, stated, "I was shooting, and it was Kajal (Pisal) who saw a post about his demise on her BFF Vibhuti's (Thakur) Instagram story, she shared in general as I was around her and I was shocked, for 5 min I put the shoot on hold and was thinking how this could be possible.

“During Diwali, we greeted and checked on each other. Everything seemed fine and healthy.

“As per my knowledge, his financial status was stable, he was earning! Even if not via acting then sure by his business.

“He was running a salon and recently came up with an ice cream parlor. He was a great guy, and I can’t understand why he would take such a drastic step.”

Chauhaan got his start after winning an Indian reality show called “Dadagiri.” He also had an appearance on MTV’s “Splitsvilla.”

Other shows he appeared in were “Crime Patrol” and “Friends: Conditions Apply.”

According to his resume, his last appearance was in the Indian comedy, “Tera Yaar Hoon Main” in 2022.
