House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) appears to be ready to tempt history.
During a recent interview, McCarthy stated that an impeachment inquiry for Joe Biden could be on the docket when Congress comes back from its latest holiday.
McCarthy may want to do a quick history lesson before he does that, however.
Impeach, Joe
I have beat this to death, but let me ask it again… what good does impeaching Biden in the House do if the Senate is controlled by Democrats?
I would love to see Biden impeached, but I don’t want to see taxpayer money wasted on what amounts to be nothing more than a talking point for GOP members in their re-election campaigns.
History has also shown that during an impeachment, supporters rally behind a candidate, and impeaching Biden could be the thing that ends up getting disinterested Democrat voters off their couches to pull the handle for Biden in 2024.
Now I will get off my soapbox and cover when McCarthy stated.
McCarthy was discussing the clear dishonesty of the DOJ regarding the investigation into Hunter Biden, which we all know was rigged from the outset.
He then continued, “If they hold that up, we would have to move to an impeachment inquiry. Which you know, Larry, gives the apex of power to Congress when it comes to our subpoena power and others to get the documents we need.
“The bank statements, the credit card statements, and others. Show us where the money went, show us if were you taking money from outside sources. And that would clear most of this up, but they seem to fight it every step of the way,” reported Breitbart.
Let me try this again… McCarthy could have pictures of a Burisma official handing Joe Biden cash and it would not matter to Democrats because they will never vote to impeach Joe Biden.
I have stated all along that I believe they should ride this out, make sure they win back the Senate, hold the House, and take back the White House, then launch a special counsel investigation, a truly independent investigation, not a member of the government, to investigate Joe Biden.
Then, if you find something, you prosecute the man and send him to jail regardless of how old and how messed up in the head he is.
That, to me, would be a far better use of taxpayer money than an impeachment that is destined to fail.
