Ilhan Omar Primary Awaits After Two Squad Members Already Ousted
The 2024 primary season has not been a good one for Squad members.
We have seen two of the most prominent members of the Squad ousted already, but they are not the real big dogs of the group.
That could soon change with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) having her primary race this week.
Will She Be Gone?
As you guys are reading this, Omar will be fighting for her political life.
Reps. Cory Bush (D-MO) and Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) have already been ousted for their pro-Palestine stance, but the worst of them all is Omar.
Omar is running against Former Minneapolis Councilman Don Samuels, who is nowhere near as radical as Omar.
Samuels has jumped all of the divisiveness of Omar, hoping he can draw in voters to unseat her from Congress.
This one will be a bit more challenging, however, as Omar’s district is heavily Muslim and, more importantly, heavily Somalian, so they are literally Omar’s people in the district.
Samuels stated, “The voters have had three terms under Congresswoman Omar’s leadership and service. They are dissatisfied.
“She goes hard after one point of view, condemns the other point of view, alienates half of her district, and becomes divisive.”
Omar responded, “He’s now adopted all of my policies because he knows those are winning policies.
“I hope we actually hear what he might want to do instead of just taking my full platform and running with it.
“Anyone who knows me and Don knows who the divisive one is.”
I have wanted Omar out of office since the first time she opened her mouth, as it was apparent that her policies were not in line with those of the American people.
I don’t really know much about Samuels, but it is hard to imagine that he would be worse than Omar.
The people of Minnesota have a very big decision to make… do they want to keep someone in office who had disrespected the memory of 9/11 and clearly has a soft spot in her heart for terrorists or do they want to take a chance on someone new?
That question will be answered by the end of the day.
