Hunter Drops Civil Suit Against Fox News

In a shocking move, Hunter Biden has decided to voluntarily drop his lawsuit against Fox News.

Hunter filed the suit after “The Trial of Hunter Biden” series had aired.

His filing alleged that the “series intentionally manipulates the facts, distorts the truth, narrates happenings out of context, and invents dialogue intended to entertain.”

Not Going Anywhere

The series aired on Fox News’ streaming service, Fox Nation.

Hunter had threatened them with a lawsuit when the series first aired, and Fox Nation pulled the feature in April.

The series was a fictional look at how the Hunter Biden trials may look, and the host of the show repeatedly told viewers they were not witnessing a real trial, but a fictional look at how the trial could go.

The lawsuit stated, “Far from reporting on a newsworthy event, Fox sought to commercialize Mr. Biden’s personality through a form of treatment distinct from the dissemination of news or information.

“Indeed, the entire miniseries is fictionalized and based on a nonexistent criminal case. While using certain true information, the series intentionally manipulates the facts, distorts the truth, narrates happenings out of context, and invents dialogue intended to entertain.

“Thus, the viewer of the series cannot decipher what is fact and what is fiction, which is highly damaging to Mr. Biden.”

Fox News responded to the suit, “This entirely politically motivated lawsuit is devoid of merit.

“The core complaint stems from a 2022 streaming program that Mr. Biden did not complain about until sending a letter in late April 2024.

“The program was removed within days of the letter, in an abundance of caution, but Hunter Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon.

“Consistent with the First Amendment, FOX News has accurately covered the newsworthy events of Mr. Biden’s own making, and we look forward to vindicating our rights in court.”

Ironically, the lawsuit, which probably had little chance of success anyway, was reportedly dropped right after Joe Biden withdrew himself as the nominee for the Democrat Party in the 2024 presidential election.

It remains to be seen if the two events are connected, but I think Hunter finally realized he would lose the suit and likely be countersued by Fox to recover legal costs.

Since he is already buried in debt, perhaps he figured it was just better to close his door and look for another opportunity to hustle some cash to pay his legal bills.
