Hunter Biden's attorney explains client's sudden plea flip
Hunter Biden has already pleaded guilty in the federal tax case he was about to face, but that doesn't mean his attorneys are done spreading their lies about Hunter Biden's innocence.
Their ridiculous reason for the guilty plea isn't that Hunter is actually culpable, even though America knows the truth! Instead, they're trying to tell America that Hunter plead the way he did not because he's guilty, but because he doesn't want to put the first family through the "parade" that a trial could bring.
"He pled open because … his defense was eviscerated, and he did not want to further put his family through a horrible, horrible kind of parade for no reason, basically," Mark Geragos, an attorney for Hunter Biden said. "It was salacious for no reason."
Joe Biden's son pleaded guilty to NINE federal tax charges on Sept. 5, according to the Associated Press.
Hunter Biden and his attorneys originally wanted to enter an "Alford Plea," which would mean that Hunter Biden would "formally admit guilt but still maintain innocence, as well as go along with a later sentence from the judge. However, prosecutors pushed back, resulting in a traditional guilty plea."
Geragos continued:
Why did we spend, as taxpayers, over $4 million for a case where no harm, no foul? That’s the question I can opine on.
Biden also released a statement to "millions of Americans." In it, he admitted that he "failed to file and pay my taxes on time."
"As I have stated, addiction is not an excuse, but it is an explanation for some of my failures at issue in this case. When I was addicted, I wasn’t thinking about my taxes, I was thinking about surviving," Hunter Biden explained.
It's pretty typical of liberals to expect special treatment in a situation like this.
Hunter Biden knows that he's guilty, the rest of America knows that he's guilty, and the court knows that he's guilty.
Despite ALL of that, Hunter Biden is STILL trying to maintain his innocence.
America isn't buying your lies, Hunter. We aren't buying your father's either.
People who are innocent don't plead guilty to NINE different tax crimes just to avoid embarrassing their families.
You can bet your bottom dollar that if Hunter were innocent, he'd still be fighting this case in court.
He's admitted that he's guilty. We should listen to him.
