Hunter Biden Juror Excused as Opening Arguments Set to Begin

It would not be normal if the Hunter Biden trial had not started without some drama involved.

That drama came in several different ways.

There was Hunter Biden’s wife losing it on the founder of Marco Polo as well as one of the jurors being dismissed before opening arguments.

You’re Dismissed

The juror was dismissed after having already been selected but then revealed to the court that showing up for the trial every day would be difficult due to the hour-long commute.

So, that juror will be replaced with an alternate, all of whom are women.

Among the evidence presented to the judge was a group of pictures with time stamps of Hunter Biden.

Judge Noreika initially resisted the photos, but the prosecution explained they were to show specific locations of Hunter Biden at different times. We would expect this to contradict what Hunter’s attorneys are going to try to present to get Hunter out of this mess.

Other evidence presented will actually come from Hunter’s memoir, “Beautiful Things.”

Hunter pretty much buried himself in the book, giving prosecutors the roadmap to pursue him for what he admitted.

Hunter is clearly going to try to use his addiction to get out of this mess, but I don’t expect that will work with this judge.

While Noreika was a Trump-appointed judge, she is not necessarily a conservative judge. She was appointed at the recommendation of both Democratic senators when Trump was in office.

She has also donated to both Democrat and Republican candidates in the past, so don’t lean into the fact she was a Trump-appointed judge to lock in a verdict here.

If a guilty verdict is the outcome, I would not expect Hunter Biden to be given any jail time here.

I think we will get a judge who will rail against him during the sentencing hearing, then give Hunter house arrest and probation as a first-time offender.

The good news for Trump is that when Joe Biden refers to Donald Trump as a convicted felon during the debate, Trump can respond, “You mean like your son.”
