Hunter Biden Goes for Heartstrings in Guilty Plea

After months of legal maneuvering, Hunter Biden is finally giving up the fight.

With more than 100 jurors called for jury selection, Hunter decided to change his plea to “guilty.”

But let me tell you something… this was a masterclass in manipulation.

Just Like Everyone Else

Hunter wants people to believe that he is like everyone else that did not pay their taxes.

Now, some people don’t pay because they honestly do not have the money. Others simply forget to file. Then there are the nefarious characters who are scheming.

Then there are people like Hunter, who thinks he is above the law.

In his statement, Biden stated, “Like millions of Americans, I failed to file and pay my taxes on time. For that I am responsible.

“As I have stated, addiction is not an excuse, but it is an explanation for some of my failures at issue in this case.  When I was addicted, I wasn’t thinking about my taxes, I was thinking about surviving.”

So, I am just curious what aspect of “surviving” was ordering up $10,000 escorts night after night in 5-star hotels?

Hunter then explained that he was doing this for his family, stating, “I will not put them through it again.”

He added that prosecutors were focused “not on justice but on dehumanizing me for my actions during my addiction.

“I will not subject my family to more pain, more invasions of privacy and needless embarrassment.

“For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty.”

As Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley stated, Hunter played a game of chicken and lost.

Oh, and just for the record, Hunter did not want to take responsibility for his actions, initially offering an “Alford plea,” which means you accept the eventual sentence but you never have to admit guilt.

Thankfully, prosecutors said no, so we are now awaiting the details of the plea deal while Hunter’s attorneys and prosecutors hammer out the details.

There are some who believe that Hunter will do some time, but I just don’t see it.

At worst, I think he gets house arrest and some fines.
