Hunter Biden Ends Trial on First Day with Guilty Plea
Hunter Biden just took one for the team.
On Thursday, during the first day of Hunter’s trial, he surprised prosecutors by changing his plea to guilty.
There is no deal in place, but this caught everyone, including prosecutors, off guard.
Guilty, as Charged
Hunter opened up on Friday, saying that he did this to avoid any further embarrassment for his family.
Now, of course, the media is gushing over his selfless act, much like they did about Joe Biden because we all know the Bidens are such selfless people.
In his statement, Biden stated, “Like millions of Americans, I failed to file and pay my taxes on time. For that I am responsible.
“As I have stated, addiction is not an excuse, but it is an explanation for some of my failures at issue in this case. When I was addicted, I wasn’t thinking about my taxes, I was thinking about surviving.”
Hunter then explained that he was doing this for his family, stating, “I will not put them through it again.”
He added that prosecutors were focused “not on justice but on dehumanizing me for my actions during my addiction.
“I will not subject my family to more pain, more invasions of privacy, and needless embarrassment.
“For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty.”
Poor Hunter… he was thinking about surviving while spending weekends with escorts that cost about $10,000 per night, so let’s not lose focus on the fact he is degenerate.
Hunter is not a victim here in any way, shape, or form, so this writer will never show empathy.
When Hunter initially offered his plea, he wanted what is called an “Alford plea,” which means he pleads out the case but does not admit guilt.
Prosecutors declined, looking for a traditional plea, so this is far from being over.
The question now is whether Hunter will see any jail time, but I doubt that it is likely to happen.
Hunter also has his gun conviction sentencing coming on November 13, but again, I would be surprised to see any jail time.
My guess is that in addition to some fines, Hunter will be hit with either some sort of combination of supervised release, parole, and home confinement.
