Hunter Biden Attorneys File for Dismissal of Gun Charges in DE

Hunter Biden’s attorneys are at it again.

On Monday, Hunter’s legal team filed to have the gun charges that were filed in Delaware against Hunter Biden dismissed.

It is true irony, as his father is in the White House pushing for more gun laws while his son works to circumvent laws that were clearly broken.

Biden continues to lean into two narratives to get off the hook.

First, he says he is being persecuted due to the fact his last name is Biden. Second, he is leaning into his addiction, as though that is a get-out-of-jail-free card for him.

Biden pleaded “not guilty" to the charges in October, with his attorney, Abbe Lowell, hinting that a motion will now be filed to have the charges outright dismissed.

Lowell argued, "The Indictment against Mr. Biden must be dismissed because it violates a Diversion Agreement that is in effect between Mr. Biden and the prosecution.

"In exchange for Mr. Biden giving up various rights—including his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent by agreeing to the Statement of Facts drafted by the prosecution and numerous restrictions on his liberty—the prosecution agreed to provide him immunity for any offense concerning his purchase of a firearm (among other offenses)."

The funny thing about that is that Hunter’s attorneys told prosecutors to tear up that agreement after the judge looked at it and saw that immunity for all future crimes was in the deal, which is utterly ridiculous.

Hunter’s attorneys still could have saved the deal by narrowing the scope of the plea deal, but they got greedy and went for it all, literally telling prosecutors to tear the deal up.

Even so, Lowell believes that because Hunter waived certain rights in that deal, the deal should still be honored and these gun charges should be dropped.

Realistically, Hunter will not do jail time for these charges as a first-time offender, but I believe it is crucial that the court gets these charges on the record, even if they only rap him on the knuckles with a sentence.

Hunter has skated on trouble his entire life because of his last name, and it is about time that we start getting his jacket filled up with the violations he committed.

Were it not for all the special treatment that Hunter received in the past, believe me, this would not be his first offense and he would not be walking away from these gun charges without jail time.
