We have seen several former Trump officials go to jail for, among other things, failing to register as a foreign agent.
By all accounts, Hunter Biden was working as a foreign agent, but he also never registered as one.
So why were people like Paul Manafort sent to jail while Hunter Biden is vacationing at Camp David?

Mark Gitenstein was appointed as U.S. ambassador to the EU by Biden in July 2021
He also happens to be a longtime friend of the Biden family, as well as someone that worked in Biden's transition team.
During the Obama administration, he was the U. S. Ambassador to Romania, and he was also buddies with Hunter Biden, exchanging emails while holding his position.
He and Hunter were exchanging emails dating back to 2010, and they were also chatting about Romanian tycoon Gabriel Popoviciu, who was facing corruption charges and had been taken on as a client by Hunter Biden, reported the New York Post.
In 2016, Gitenstein was no longer the ambassador, but he and Hunter were exchanging emails about Hunter's client.
In one exchange, they were talking about a recent court decision that kept abuse of office as a criminal offense, with Gitenstein writing, "Looks like this will not help your client because it is not retroactive."
Hunter's business partner Eric Schwerin was also copied on the email. They received a follow-up email that stated, "Please don't forward," and this is where it gets really interesting.
Also included in that email were Hans Klemm, then-Ambassador to Romania, Dean Thompson, then-deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Romania, and Debra Hevia, a longtime foreign service officer.
There are numerous exchanges about this, some with feedback from past, then-current, and future office holders, which has us wondering if government resources were used to help Hunter and his client.
At one point, Michael Gottlieb, then-Boies Schiller lawyer, wrote, "Hans called me to discuss a development that is best relayed over phone. Can we connect either tonight or first thing tomorrow? Bottom line is that we should proceed with requesting the meeting," reported Fox News.
So when people start talking about getting on the phone rather than the written word that can be traced, my ears go up.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) agrees, stating, "I think it's pretty telling anytime someone says that something should be discussed over the phone instead of in an email. We saw this type of pressure regarding Burisma and Shokin being fired. This family has been linked to too many deals. Where there's smoke, there's fire. And there's a lot of smoke."
Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) added, "With every new email exchange that's brought to light between Hunter Biden and his associates, one fact remains crystal clear: the moral rot of the Biden family compounds by the day. In the case of Gabriel Popoviciu, we still see Hunter Biden's dirty fingerprints – and the same telltale signs of his influence-peddling that serve as his calling card. Known lawbreaker Hunter Biden's corruption knows no bounds."
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) just said what we are all thinking, "The Biden family needs to answer for the growing mountain of evidence suggesting they sold out their country to enrich themselves. Joe Biden appears very willing to pressure foreign officials and change American policy positions if his family gets paid off.
"Furthermore, the DOJ, FBI and other federal entities need to answer for their role in covering up these crimes. Until the people involved go to prison, the American people will be unable to have faith in our institutions and our democracy."
She is dead right and it is what I have been saying all along.
The mountain of evidence is clearly there, yet Biden is still president and Hunter is still walking around as a free man after making a sweetheart plea deal in a case where the average person would have been in jail for a decade.
