There is a new narrative being pitched by some media outlets and Hunter Biden’s attorney to make it sound as though the case against Hunter Biden is biased AGAINST Hunter.
Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, is claiming that prosecutors changed the plea deal on the fly, reported the Daily Mail.
I would bet just about anything his description of this is far from the truth.
The Deal
First and foremost, the plea deal was agreed to by both parties when they went before the judge, and it was the judge that halted the deal because of a future immunity clause that had been given to Hunter Biden.
By the way, that deal was largely orchestrated by David Weiss, who was appointed as the special counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation.
Lowell stated, “One, they wrote something and weren’t clear what they meant. Two, they knew what they meant and misstated it to counsel. Or third, they change their view as they were standing in court in Delaware,” reported The Hill.
Lowell would not go so far as to call the prosecutors incompetent, but he did say they “changed their decision on the fly standing up in court.” But again, that is a complete and utter lie.
Here is my guess on this…
Hunter’s attorneys are trying to paint the picture that Hunter is getting a raw deal to get away from the narrative that Joe Biden is influencing the DOJ on this case.
After all, if prosecutors are screwing with Hunter, how can the DOJ possibly be biased?
The fact of the matter is that if Hunter were not Joe Biden’s son and he was being prosecuted by a respectable DOJ, he never would have been given that plea deal.
We have seen Trump associates go to jail for far like crimes, and Hunter was not only being given a walk on tax evasion and gun law violations, but he was going to be given immunity on any future charges, which could include the failure to register as a foreign agent.
For those saying Hunter did not get a sweetheart plea deal, just ask Paul Manafort how he feels about Hunter’s deal.
