Remember that football coach that got canned for praying on the field after games?
Well, he will be back on the sidelines again very soon.
According to the Supreme Court Order, Joe Kennedy is to be reinstated no later than March 2023.
Back to Work
Kennedy was put on leave in 2015 following a complaint about him praying on the field after games.
The court's ruling will not only reinstate him, but it will also allow him to lead prayer on the field as he had done before.
Technically, he had not "led" prayer, but he prayed after the game by himself.
Over time, players from the teams started to join him, which got under the skin of another coach.
That coach reported the incident, and Kennedy was told he was making other people uncomfortable.
He initially halted the practice, but resumed a few weeks later, at which time the school put him on leave.
This case will surely be a landmark case for the First Amendment.
However, I would also note that Bremerton High School football games will probably never be the same again.
The situation being what it is today, it would not surprise me one bit to see leftists start to protest at these games.
We will keep an eye on it.
