Nearly three dozen House Republicans have threatened to oppose any projects by GOP leaders who support the left's $1.7 trillion omnibus bill.
The group, led by Texas Rep. Chip Roy, argues that the issue could threaten the party for the next two years.

"We reiterate that if any omnibus passes in the remaining days of this Congress, we will oppose and whip opposition to any legislative priority of those senators who vote for this bill – including the Republican leader," the lawmakers wrote.
"Their threat could have major repercussions for next year, as the GOP-controlled House will only be able to lose a handful of votes on any piece of legislation before having to rely on Democrats to secure passage," the report added.
"I'm looking at Mitch McConnell when I say this:
"DO YOUR JOB, @LeaderMcConnell! Do your job and follow the wishes of the American people who gave a majority to Republicans in the House of Representatives"
"And let's STOP this bill"

"DO YOUR JOB, @LeaderMcConnell! Do your job and follow the wishes of the American people who gave a majority to Republicans in the House of Representatives," Roy said in a recent House floor speech.
"And let's STOP this bill," he added, arguing against the Democratic effort.

The group's efforts also threaten Rep. Kevin McCarthy as he seeks to return to power as House Speaker in January.
He currently faces opposition from several GOP leaders, including Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs, who is challenging him for the role.
The move could lead to major conflict going into the holidays that threatens to divide Republicans just as they have won back control of the House during the midterms.
