House REPORT: CIA Mishandled Complaints of Sexual Assault Within Agency

Joe Biden and the CIA could have a rather significant problem on their hands.

A new House report exposed testimony from a whistleblower regarding how the CIA has handled accusations of sexual assault.

The whistleblower came forward in January of 2023.

Damaging Report

The whistleblower came forward after alleging that the CIA officer had been "physically attacked and sexually assaulted at CIA headquarters" by another CIA officer.

The report stated, "Over the course of the investigation, the Committee discovered that CIA failed to handle allegations of sexual assault and harassment within its workforce in the professional and uniform manner that such sensitive allegations warrant.”

That one whistleblower opened up the floodgates, just as we usually see happen in cases such as this.

The House’s Permanent Select Committee then spoke with dozens of alleged victims, reviewing thousands of pages of materials that were released by the CIA regarding the alleged assaults.

The committee found “confusing and disorder” in the way the CIA investigated the claims, also stating that there was not enough anonymity given to alleged victims after reporting their cases.

Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) and Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) released a joint statement on the matter.

It stated, "For more than a year, the House Intelligence Committee has investigated the responsiveness of the Central Intelligence Agency to personnel who have survived sexual assault and sexual harassment.

“We heard directly from whistleblowers who courageously shared their stories in order to push for change and accountability.

“Our Committee has put in place significant legislative reforms to address failures, and we will continue to monitor progress to ensure there is no slippage in the Agency’s commitment to addressing sexual assault and harassment."

The allegations range from rude office banter to unwanted touching to an extreme case where a senior staffer allegedly showed up with a gun at a staffer’s home demanding sex.

This is not a good look for Biden, his administration, or the agency, yet we have heard very little from other Democrats on this issue, which is about par for the course.

Believe me, if this were a Republican administration and these reports had surfaced, people like Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) would be on every news channel demanding that heads roll.
