House Investigation Finds Security Failings on January 6

Among other things, the House has been investigating certain security failures that took place on January 6, 2021.

At the top of that list are the pipe bombs that were left at political headquarters in DC.

Two committees just released their findings, and law enforcement is going to have some serious explaining to do.

You Failed

The investigation was headed by Reps. Barry Loudermilk (R-AL) and Thomas Massie (R-KY).

Their respective committees released an 81-page report on how law enforcement failed regarding the pipe bombs that were planted at Republican and Democrat HQs in DC on January 6.

The person who planted the bombs was seen on surveillance film, yet the FBI has been unable to locate the individual, still having a $500,000 reward for information that leads to his or her arrest.

The report, in part, stated, “Prior to Vice President-elect Harris’s 11:25 AM arrival, at least ten different USSS agents and two canine units came within feet of the pipe bomb yet never discovered the device.

“In fact, at least one USSS agent spent five hours posted near the garage entrance throughout the morning and early afternoon before the pipe bomb’s discovery.”

It also stated that Nancy Pelosi passed the bomb with only feet separating her, so this was clearly a failure in screening the area.

The report also ripped the FBI for how it characterized the devices, stating, “Traditionally, bomb technicians deliberately avoid using vague language, choosing instead to refer to a bomb as a ‘device’ if it would ‘function as designed’ or as a ‘hoax.'

“In the case of the pipe bombs, it is unclear why the FBI insists on using a vague, non-standard description.”

This is yet one more investigation that Kash Patel will need to conduct if and when he takes over the FBI.

I think we can all agree that the best thing that has happened was Christopher Wray putting his resignation on the desk of Joe Biden before Trump takes office.
