Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) had a bit of a scare this weekend.
The congresswoman was admitted to the hospital for a kidney infection.
According to her office, she has been treated and is recovering.
Being Treated
Her office quickly issued a statement to let everyone know that she had been treated and was doing okay.
It stated, "Congresswoman Hinson was admitted to UnityPoint St. Luke's Hospital yesterday evening where she is being treated for a kidney infection.
"She is looking forward to being back on the road soon.
"She appreciates all of the prayers and well wishes."
Her team added that she is "feeling better, but still undergoing treatment."
Jimmy Peacock, Hinson's spokesperson, added, "She sincerely appreciates everyone who has reached out, and is grateful for the incredible doctors and nurses at St. Luke's Hospital who have provided phenomenal care.
"We will continue to provide updates."
Hinson is in her first term, having survived a tough battle.
She is among those defending new district lines for the upcoming term, but she is expected to retain her seat.
Hinson did have a debate scheduled for this week, but that has been canceled due to her illness.
