Heartbreaking news brought more than one question to the forefront following the news that Slash’s stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, had passed away.

Immediately following the announcement that the Guns N' Roses singer's stepdaughter had passed away at the age of 25, the young woman posted a disturbing farewell post on Instagram. Knight passed away on Friday, July 19, as The New York Post reported.

According to the information that The Post was able to collect, Knight passed away at a private residence. There was no other information provided regarding her passing.

On Sunday evening, three hours after the guitarist for Guns N' Roses, who is 58 years old, made the announcement that his stepdaughter had passed away, a selfie of Knight was uploaded to her social media accounts along with a statement.

“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity — I am sorry,” she wrote.

“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”

Knight wore a dark expression and looked away from the camera in the disturbing photo. Her fans speculated right away that she had planned to publish the post just before she died.

“I can’t believe you can schedule a post. This has to be so shocking and hard for her loved ones. I’m so sorry to all who adored her. This sucks,” one person commented.

“Really sad to read this even for someone that didn’t know her. Got a feeling reading these comments she was harder on herself than she needed to be and well-loved,” another user wrote.

Knight had "passed away peacefully," singer Slash said in a tweet about his stepdaughter.

“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, California, on July 19, 2024,” the message from the legendary guitarist read.

He said she was “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul."
