Sinema Hits Biden Administration on Planned Menthol Ban

Joe Biden's overreach has now gotten to the point that Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) is slapping him on the wrist.

The Biden administration is considering a ban on menthol cigarettes, which Sinema believes is just going too far.

Sinema's argument makes perfect sense, something the Democrat Party is severely lacking these days.

Adults Can Make Their Own Decisions

Listen, I don't like cigarettes, but people have a right to make their own decisions, even if the item can possibly kill them.

Hey, I drink whiskey and smoke an occasional cigar, and I would be pissed as hell if those little vices were taken away from me, which was Sinema's point. That, and this is an issue that, if regulated, should be resolved at the state level.

She stated, "My general perspective would be that as adults, people can make their own choices, and what the government's job to do is to ensure that we have a market that is open and that products are available that are regulated to make sure that everyone is safe.

"At the federal level, I believe that it's our job to kind of stay out of that and let states take their own action and manage their own choices," reported the Washington Examiner.

She added, "Make your own decisions about your life, take responsibility, be accountable for yourself, and as long as you're not hurting someone else, you can make the decisions you want to make in your own life."

The Food and Drug Administration is currently working on a rule to ban flavored cigars (there goes my Acid Kuba Kuba) and menthol cigarettes.

Even police organizations are pushing back, looking forward to how key resources will be taken away from the monitoring of violent crime by the cigarette police.

As far as I know, Sinema, who caucuses with Democrats, is the first on the left to speak out against the administration on this issue, while almost two dozen Democrats in the Senate have stated their support for the new regulation, reported Halfwheel.
