Hannity Gets into Heated Exchange Over McCarthy Vote

I am rather astonished at how hard most of the Fox News staff is pushing for Kevin McCarthy to be Speaker of the House.

Virtually the entire anchor staff has resorted to slamming anyone that is against McCarthy.

It is a rude awakening for many of us regarding the network and its loyalties to certain members of Congress.

That’s Not Reporting

So, Sean Hannity has an opinion show, which I completely understand.

However, when you have someone on to try to explain why they are opposing someone, at least give them a chance to state their case.

When Hannity had Rep. Boebert (R-CO) on, it was more like watching CNN than it was Fox News.

The same can be said for the last few days of “Fox & Friends,” where McCarthy detractors were referenced as “insurrectionists,” which is utterly ridiculous.

So, before I get any deeper into this, watch this exchange between Hannity and Boebert…

To be clear, this group does not really expect to get 218 votes for one of its nominees, but they do expect to get McCarthy to concede some changes to how the House is run if he wants to be Speaker.

We all know the machine is broken, so what is the problem with holding out and demanding change for the better?

Who here disagrees with the idea of term limits, single-issue legislation, and mandatory 72 hours to review new legislation so major bills are not rammed through?

Who disagrees with the idea of members of the caucus being able to call out a Speaker for not delivering on promises made to the caucus?

Well, that would apparently be Brian Kilmeade and Sean Hannity at Fox News, as well as members of Congress such as Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX).

Crenshaw has called this group “terrorists” and “the enemy,” as well as vowing revenge against every member.

If I were in that group, I would dig in even deeper now.

After that last election failure, conservatives in this country demanded change and there are only about 20 members of Congress that apparently agree with us.
