Harris Will Have Walz Backing Up Her First Big Interview
Kamala Harris, who loves to act like a tough guy when a microphone gets pushed in her face, apparently is not strong enough to handle her first big interview as a presidential candidate.
So, after more than a month of dodging media interviews, she has finally agreed to sit down with CNN, but she has to bring Governor Tim Walz along.
My guess is that Walz is there to buffer when the cackling starts or when she really starts to go off-topic, spewing one of her famous word salads.
Tim is Coming
The interview is being done on Thursday afternoon, taped, and it will air Thursday night in prime time.
This will give host Dana Bash plenty of time to clear up the messy comments made by Harris and Walz.
That was pretty much the message that Trump’s camp offered up as well, posting on X, "BREAKING: On Thursday — 39 days since being installed as the Democrat nominee — Kamala will sit for her first formal interview.* ** * Joint, since she’s not competent enough to do it on her own. ** Taped, so her handlers have time to play damage control."
Trump adviser Jason Miller added, "Harris can’t even do 1-on-1 interview! & not even live, it’s taped, so they can edit Harris. Unbelievable.”
Bash has a lot of questions that need to be asked, but I doubt there is much confidence from conservatives that she will go after Harris aggressively.
The same can be said about Walz, who has already had close to a dozen lies on his record exposed. Thus far, Democrats have defended him by saying he only misspoke, and even Bash has questioned anyone questioning his record since he served for 24 years.
Using that reasoning, I guess it would be okay for Governor Ron DeSantis to say he served as a SEAL rather than having served as the legal adviser to SEAL Team One. Or maybe JD Vance can say that he retired and left the Marine Corps as a Gunny when he actually left as a Corporal.
We all know if either of these men had made such a claim, the media would be all over it, yet it is okay for Walz to pretend he was deployed in a war zone or claim he retired as a Command Sergeant Major when neither is true.
And that does not even begin to address the other claims made by Walz, but I doubt Bash will get into any of that.
I only have one question about this… If Harris cannot handle a major TV interview on her own, how is she supposed to sit down opposite Putin and stand up for the United States?
