Harris VP shortlist could be down to just 2 people
Vice President Kamala Harris has been handed the Democratic nomination for President of the United States of America.
Never mind that she didn't collect a single vote in primary elections, Joe Biden handed her the nomination, so she's got to pick a running mate.
According to DailyMail.co, the potential list of candidates that Kamala Harris is considering may be down to just two candidates.
Reports indicate that Kamala's team has already met with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly to have discussions about possibly serving in a VP role.
Further increasing speculation that Josh Shapiro was being heavily considered were reports that Shapiro canceled his plans for the weekend of August 3.
This led to a lot of people thinking that he was canceling his trip in case Kamala Harris wanted to appoint him the new VP nominee this weekend.
Many people are lobbying for Josh Shapiro because he's from Pennsylvania, a state that Kamala Harris is REALLY interested in trying to win this November.
What might be preventing Shapiro from being named VP is a flurry of sexual harassment and coverup rumors rocking his office.
Mark Kelly would also help Kamala Harris in a battleground state, but it's unknown exactly how many resources liberals want to pour into Arizona right now, as it looks like it might be out of reach compared to other battleground states.
Kelly is not without his controversies as well.
Recently, it was discovered that Mark Kelly is the co-founder of a surveillance balloon company with ties to the Chinese government.
There have already been enough spy balloon controversies during Harris' term as VP, does she really need more if she were able to capture the presidency?
It will be very interesting to see who Kamala Harris picks, both of these guys definitely have their issues.
