Harris Requires Rally Attendees to Show ID
Well, talk about an ironic situation.
According to local reports at a recent Kamala Harris rally, attendees were required to show ID before entering the rally.
The irony comes in the fact that while Harris wanted her attendees to show their ID, she does not support IDs for elections.
Good Enough for Me
Harris has been at the forefront of the anti-voter ID movement, fighting against the GOP's desire to make ID checks mandatory before people can cast a vote.
It just seems like commonsense to ensure the person placing the vote is the actual person they claim to be.
In this day and age, ID is about as easy as it gets to obtain, yet Democrats push the narrative that minorities cannot afford IDs or are incapable of obtaining them.
Yet, when Harris sent out invites to her rally, there was a disclaimer that the invitation was not transferrable.
So, the only way to ensure the person attending is the same person on the invite would be to check their ID and make sure they match.
Harris started to take flack on X, with actor Kevin Sorbo writing, "Voter ID is racist, but you can’t get into a Kamala rally without ID.”
Another user with nearly 450,000 followers added, "So let me get this straight: Requiring ID to vote is racist… But requiring ID to attend a Kamala Harris ‘rally’ is NOT racist?"
Right after taking office as VP, Harris did an interview on BET regarding voter ID laws, where she stated, "I don’t think that we should underestimate what that could mean.
"Because in some people’s mind, that means, well, you’re going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove you are who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don’t – there’s no Kinko’s, there’s no Office Max near them.
“People have to understand that when we’re talking about voter ID laws, be clear about who you have in mind and what would be required of them to prove who they are."
By the way, Ms. Harris, these days, you can just take a picture of your ID and print it out on your printer… no need to go to a copy center (which by the way are available in just about every neighborhood via a check cashing agency, library, etc.).
Here is my question: When will the media ask Harris why she requires ID at her events but does not want to require it at the voting booth?
