Harris Losing Big Chunks of Ground in Minnesota After Naming Walz as VP

When Kamala Harris was first named as the Democrat nominee for president, she had a 10-point lead in Minnesota, a solid blue state.

Since Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was named her VP, she has been sliding back.

That lead is now down to five points, and Trump is starting to see Minnesota in red on election day.

It’s Purple

Kamala Harris cannot lose a single blue state if she wants to win this election.

In the 2020 election, Donald Trump got clocked in Minnesota, losing the state by more than 240,000 votes, which equates to about 7%.

When Harris was first named the nominee, that looked like something that was going to repeat itself, but apparently the people of Minnesota are done with Timmy.

Her lead is now down to five points, and the Dems are starting to panic about a core state falling to Trump.

KSTP’s Tom Hause broke it down, stating, “Kamala Harris still has a lead in Minnesota, but it’s half as big as it was a month ago. It’s clear this race remains very unsettled.

“By most accounts, Democrats came out of their 2024 national convention unified behind Kamala Harris, and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. But instead of a bounce from the convention and the Walz pick, the presidential race actually tightened in Minnesota.”

Walz has not been lighting up the polls in terms of Democrats thinking he was a good pick, as most believed PA Governor Josh Shapiro would have locked up the election for her.

Walz also has quite a bit of baggage, so this is not working out quite well for Harris.

This is a problem because while Harris once had the Blue Wall states of PA, MI, and WI in her pocket, they also have slid back, and Trump is actually now ahead in two of the three states in the latest polling.

Harris will not flip and red states, but if Trump can flip a blue state like Minnesota, then bag two of the three key Blue Wall states, it is game over for Harris.

Can you imagine adding a VP to the ticket that cannot even land his home state?!
