Harris Clear Conflict of Interest Heading into Debate

The Department of Justice currently has a lawsuit against Google for monopolizing digital advertising technology.

The law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison is representing Google in that lawsuit, with attorney Karen Dunn listed as lead counsel.

She also happens to be the attorney helping Kamala Harris prepare for her ABC News debate against Donald Trump.

Crossing the Line

I am shocked that Dunn would be this stupid to agree with what is clearly a conflict of interest.

My best guess here is that Harris made some type of deal that if Dunn helps her, the government will go easy and offer Google a sweat plea deal.

To be clear, that is speculation on my part, as I don’t want a fake rumor to start.

When the lawsuit was first introduced, Attorney General Merrick Garland stated, “Today’s complaint alleges that Google has used anticompetitive, exclusionary, and unlawful conduct to eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital advertising technologies.

“No matter the industry and no matter the company, the Justice Department will vigorously enforce our antitrust laws to protect consumers, safeguard competition, and ensure economic fairness and opportunity for all.”

Trump campaign senior adviser Tim Murtaugh went on the attack over the clear conflict of interest, stating, "Kamala Harris will never stand up to Big Tech because she’s being coached on what to say in the debates by Google’s top lawyer.

“Think about how outrageous it is — their administration is suing Google, but Harris is taking political advice from the defendant’s lawyer…”

"But it’s not surprising because Big Tech and the Biden-Harris White House have been conspiring to censor and trample the rights of law-abiding citizens since they gained power.”

If I were Trump’s campaign, I would be filing an ethics complaint with the BAR right now.

And while they are there, they can file a suit challenging the constitutionality of Harris’ candidacy.
