Harris Campaign Was Trolling Trump Well Before Debate
Everyone and their mother knew what the strategy was going to be for Kamala Harris during her debate against Donald Trump.
She was going to attack Trump relentlessly to get him off his game and away from policy.
Well, that actually started before the debate, with her campaign trolling Trump on social media to get under his skin even before he took the stage.
Shots Fired
Harris’ campaign started firing shots before the debate, posting Obama’s DNC speech where he was making some innuendos about Trump.
Obama, while moving his hands back and forth as an example of the “size” of the crowd, stating, “This weird obsession with crowd sizes. It just goes on and on and on.”
The ad then says, “America's ready for a new chapter. We are ready for a President Kamala Harris.”
You just know that got under Trump’s skin before he ever took the stage.
As far as the debate was concerned, Trump is claiming victory, but not too many other people are.
His surrogates are all over social media complaining that it was 3:1, which Trump is also stating, as well as citing the fact that the moderators were fact-checking Trump and not fact-checking Harris.
Again, I said all of this would happen, which is why I said that Trump needed to have his facts straight and his numbers on point or it would backfire against him.
He should have stayed focused on Harris’ record and kept his comments to policy, allowing her attacks to roll right off him.
Had Trump been smart, he could have flipped the attacks and accused her of being childish when the American people really wanted to know about policy.
Trump can only hold back so long, and when he lost it, he more or less handed that debate to Harris.
Trump spent the entire day on Wednesday saying the debate was rigged and calling out the moderators, which I think makes him look weak to voters who are looking for solutions, and that has always been Trump’s biggest challenge.
The election needs to be about the American people, not Donald Trump, and less than two months before the election, a week before early voting, he wasted an entire day making it about himself.
And as long as he complains about the debate, it stays in the news cycle, so forget about it, move on, and get back to policy, or he is going to dig himself a hole he cannot climb out of before election day.
And if he does that, we all lose… for another four years.
We all need Trump to win this election or God only knows what happens to the conservative movement in this country.
