Harris Campaign Using Fake Headlines in Campaign Ads

Here we go again…

One of the dirtiest campaign tricks going right now is to take out ads with doctored mainstream media headlines.

We came into this during the last election, and it is happening again courtesy of the Harris campaign.

Just Write Our Own Headlines

So, this is how it works…

You find a news story that is relevant to the campaign, make up your own headline, and then take out a Google ad that someone may unknowingly click on, thinking the ad is actually a legit headline.

This gives the impression that the news outlets approve of your campaign policies or of an event that took place.

For instance, in one ad, it appears to be an article from the Independent. Another ad was portrayed as an NPR story. Yet another appeared like a Guardian headline, which read, "VP Harris Fights Abortion Bans - Harris Defends Repro Freedom."

A Guardian spokesperson stated, "While we understand why an organization might wish to align itself with the Guardian's trusted brand, we need to ensure it is being used appropriately and with our permission. We'll be reaching out to Google for more information about this practice."

The campaign never asked for permission from these outlets to create these ads using their brands, so now there are some serious questions being asked about the ethics of such advertising.

This is about as slimy as it gets, and we all know how this would be portrayed in the media if Republicans were doing it.

It is all smoke and mirrors, what Democrats do best.

They were dishonest about running Joe Biden, putting him out there to get a feel for the polls, presenting him as being capable of running for another four years, then pressuring him to drop out when they realized he was going to lose AFTER having won his primary.

Now they are running shady ads to fool voters into thinking news outlets are gushing over Harris (more so than they already are).

And they call the Republicans the threat to democracy, just saying.
