Harris Campaign Starts Scrubbing Walz’s Record
For the first few days after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was named as Kamala’s VP, his military record started to come under question.
Walz lied about his retirement rank and used carefully worded statements to make it sound like his service was more impressive than it was.
Now, instead of admitting the mistake openly, the Harris campaign is trying to stealth-edit Walz’s records.
Just Delete It
Republicans have jumped all over the discrepancies in Walz’s military record.
The big one is that he has repeatedly stated that he retired as a Command Sergeant Major, including stating that verbally.
However, the rank was given to him conditionally and revoked when he did not meet the conditions of the promotion, so his rank was returned to Sergeant Major.
Harris even had the Command Sergeant Major rank on the campaign website, but that has recently changed.
Now, instead of saying that Walz “retired command sergeant major,” it says that he once served in that rank, which is more accurate, but it would still be nice to have a statement from Walz admitting that he lied.
Walz’s website has also been edited. It now states, “rising to the rank of Command Sergeant Major." However, the site does not mention that his rank was reduced back to Sergeant Major.
When Walz was questioned about this by the media, he just ran away from the press like a coward.
Walz has also been accused of abandoning his unit when he found out the unit was going to be deployed in Iraq for an active war zone.
Lastly, Walz once stated that he carried a weapon in war, not in support of the war, which was actually the case.
Walz has never been in an active war zone, but as I noted above, he was very careful in how he crafted these statements to make it sound like he did.
While the right is outraged over this and hitting Walz with accusations of stolen valor, the media and Democrats are trying to brush this all under the rug.
Yet, we all know that if Vance had done this, it would have headlined every new broadcast and been on the front page of every publication.
State-run media… we are quickly losing our status as a constitutional republic.
