Hamas Threatens to Kill Hostages

The situation in Israel has become direr with each passing day.

It is now an even more desperate situation, with Hamas reportedly threatening to kill hostages it took in the early hours of the conflict.

This has put everyone on edge, especially considering that there were Americans who were reportedly taken hostage by Hamas.

The Threat

Israel launched a massive counterstrike against Hamas after the initial attack.

From the reports I have seen, and please understand this number is literally evolving on an hour-by-hour basis, there were more than 300 dead and thousands missing in the counterstrike. That compared to 700 killed and thousands missing in the Hamas attack.

Hamas has now threatened Israel that any attacks that hit civilian targets will result in the killing of hostages.

Now, keep in mind, Hamas is notorious for hiding its headquarters in civilian areas, such as schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings.

On Monday, Abu Obeida, a spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, stated that major attacks took place along the Gaza Strip that hit civilian targets.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who now seems intent on the complete and utter destruction of the Gaza Strip, warned them that this was “just the beginning,” threatening “devastation and destruction.”

Obeida responded, “We announce that every targeting of our people who are safe in their homes without warning, we will regretfully meet with the execution of our enemy’s civilian hostages.”

Netanyahu did not address those comments directly, but he did respond, “This bitter enemy wanted war, and he will get war.”

Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant added, “I ordered a full siege on the Gaza Strip. No power, no food, no gas; everything is closed. We are fighting human animals, and we act accordingly.”

As of this writing, Joe Biden was expected to address the threat made by Hamas.
