GOP Will Challenge Biden Removal, But Not Likely to Work
The withdrawal of Biden puts the GOP in a very awkward position.
Some state deadlines have already passed in terms of applying to be on the ballot, so the GOP has to make a decision to fight the changes or not.
And while I fully expect there to be some legal battles here, they probably won’t win and quite frankly, it could be a mistake to even fight it.
Bad Look
The GOP always contends that Democrats rig elections, so how would it look if the GOP was fighting to keep Biden on the ballot even though he left the race?
And yes, I know what the Democrats did was shady, but is this how we want to win, giving Democrats more fodder to use against us?
Democrats have gone into unprecedented waters, so my line of attack would be to fight Biden stepping down from the election if he does not step down from the presidency.
He is the nominee, and you don’t get to drop out of the race because you are polling poorly; it is a horrible and terrifying precedent to set.
This is literally nullifying the vote of the American people, and it should not be tolerated.
Speaker Johnson (R-LA) hinted that there could be some legal challenges ahead, stating, “I think they've got legal hurdles in some of these states.
“And it'll be litigated, I would expect, on the ground there.”
Democratic Party lawyer Marc Elias responded, “The Democratic nominee for president will be on all 50 state ballots.
“There is no basis for any legal challenge. Period.”
Well, he is actually wrong, but I agree with him that the courts would eventually agree that keeping the candidate off the ballot does not serve any purpose.
This is the most disgusting display of election fraud I have ever seen by Democrats, and the sad reality is that the media will never call them out for it.
In fact, the media supported Biden stepping down, but just imagine the reaction the media would have had if the GOP pulled this little stunt.
It sickens me to what lengths the Democrats will go to win… so, we can only hope they are not rewarded for having removed the American people from choosing a candidate for the Democrat Party.
