GOP Senators Confront Director Cheatle at RNC
The RNC appears to have had a rather tense moment with Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle.
The answers Cheatle has given to explain the breakdown of security for Trump at his rally have satisfied nobody.
So, a group of GOP Senators surrounded Cheatle at the convention, demanding answers.
Get Her
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is now leading the charge to have Cheatle removed, and rightfully so.
The breakdowns in security were horrifying, allowing an assassination attempt against a former president that should have never happened.
Authorities literally had hours and numerous opportunities to apprehend the shooter, and they failed to do so at every turn.
Cheatle has been doing nothing but spinning when talking to the media, so a group of GOP Senators took it upon themselves to corner Cheatle at the RNC, demanding answers from her…
Cheatle’s conduct in that video is absolutely abhorrent, literally running away from elected officials who are demanding answers for the lack of security that falls under her purview.
Blackburn then stated, "She's going to have to come forward. She can run, but she cannot hide.
"She has to provide these answers. She should be fired. She should have been fired Saturday night."
After the video of the confrontation aired, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi stated, "Continuity of operations is paramount during a critical incident and U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has no intentions to step down.
"She deeply respects members of Congress and is fiercely committed to transparency in leading the Secret Service through the internal investigation and strengthening the agency through lessons learned in these important internal and external reviews."
The fact that Joe Biden has not fired this woman yet is a disgrace.
But rest assured, if Donald Trump wins this election and Cheatle is still in that post, Donald Trump’s first day in office will be her last.
