Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) wants Attorney General Merrick Garland impeached after the latest charges against former President Donald Trump.
Tenney shared the remarks during an interview on Fox Business following the announcement of Trump's new charges related to the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

“Every single time we get closer to making the case, which is the case, that you know, Hunter is Joe’s bagman, Joe set him up, and there is all of this evidence, it is all there, we just need to piece it together and Merrick Garland, the Department of Justice, around those people are obstructing it and protecting the Bidens instead of standing up for the American people,” she said.
“Merrick Garland… we’ve crossed the Rubicon here, he needs to be prosecuted and impeached right now and removed, because he is the ringleader of all of this, and thank goodness he never became a Supreme Court justice,” Tenney added.

"The most jarring thing about this indictment is it basically just accuses him of disinformation — this is a disinformation indictment," said legal scholar Jonathan Turley, a professor of public interest law at George Washington University.
"It said [Trump] was spreading falsehoods, that [he] was undermining the integrity of the election — that is all part of the First Amendment," Turley said. "And I think that courts will look skeptically."
The charges against Trump also appear political as they come two and a half years following the events as the former president seeking to win the nomination once again.
The claims also appeared from Washington just as the Biden family investigation faced new evidence from former Hunter Biden business associate Devon Archer.
Archer claimed that then-Vice President Joe Biden was on speakerphone 20 times during international business calls involving millions of dollars.
Trump may be facing new charges but many Americans see the latest effort as politically motivated, giving the former president more backing for his campaign.
