GOP Rep Expresses Concern After Access to UFO Footage

A conservative lawmaker is expressing concern after watching classified footage of a UFO.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) shared that the technology is beyond anything the world can handle.

"If they’re out there, they’re out there, and if they have this kind of technology, then they could turn us into a charcoal briquette," Burchett said.

"And if they can travel light years or at the speeds that we’ve seen, and physics as we know it, fly underwater, don't show a heat trail, things like that, then we are vastly out of our league."

“Have you seen compelling evidence that we’re actually seeing something really weird in the skies that might affect national security or global security, that might not be from this Earth?” John Michael Godier, the host of the podcast, asked during an interview.

“One hundred percent. No question,” the Republican congressman replied.

“We’ve been dealing [with government coverups] since at least [the Roswell incident of] 1947, probably since about 1897 in what was the Aurora, Texas, ‘UFO crash,'” he added.

Burchett wants to allow experts to be able to speak more freely on the topic in future UFO hearings before Congress.

If so, the discussions will certainly draw attention, both for their claims and for sounding like something out of a sci-fi movie. UFOs also include any unidentified aerial objects, such as drones or military devices from other nations, which could add to speculation of many kinds.

Burchett's claims are also exciting the UFO community in a move that could add to the oddness of the already strange discussion.
