GOP Letter Demands Information on Iran Investigation

A group of GOP Senators led by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) are getting antsy for a report on Iran’s nuclear program.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) investigation was launched about five years ago, yet they have still not received the report.

Rubio is heading the effort, stressing urgency after the attack by Iran-backed Hamas on Israel.

The Letter

How anything takes five years to investigate is beyond me, but I would be willing to wager Biden ordered this to be slow-walked when he came into office.

It would just make sense considering Biden wanted to create his own legacy Iran nuclear deal similar to what Obama had in place.

Rubio’s letter stated, "The Iranian regime is intent on fomenting terror across the region, as evidenced by its proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah’s, brutal attacks this weekend on our ally, Israel.

"Now more than ever, you must ensure that you hold the regime accountable for its failure to comply with obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty."

The letter continued, "The Biden Administration has failed to press for concrete action against Iran in Vienna. We are especially disturbed by reports that the United States led efforts to oppose a censure of Iran.

"As Iran violates its commitments and refuses to comply with the IAEA, your business-as-usual approach to resolving the situation is tantamount to an endorsement of the Iranian regime’s activities."

I am very curious to see how Biden reacts to this, as this administration, even now, tries not to upset Iran.

Look at how protective they have been about not admitting that Iran could possibly use that $6 billion in assets that had been freed up to support the Hamas war against Israel.

Even though there have been rumors floating around that a backroom deal was reached with Qatar to lock down the money, as I am writing this report, the administration has not confirmed the report.

They have done nothing other than to say that money is sitting in the bank and it has not yet been touched.
