It looks like Republicans may be able to pick up yet another unexpected seat in the House.
When Michigan lines were redrawn, most expected the new district to go blue, but that does not appear to be the case.
Currently, GOP candidate John James is way ahead in polling.
Turning Red from the Inside
The newly drawn 10th district looks like it will be launched with GOP representation.
John James is way ahead in polling right now.
He is currently leading Democrat Carl Marlinga 44 to 36 percent.
James is one of the many new minority members of the GOP that is running for office this term.
He has also gotten significant exposure by speaking at Trump rallies.
Now that he is ahead in polling, it is only a matter of time before the Democrats start going at him with their race traitor and Uncle Tom attacks.
Unfortunately, Trump is not faring as well in the governor’s face.
Trump-backed Tudor Dixon is getting smashed by Governor Whitmer, 50 to 32 percent.
