GOP Lawmaker Reveals Democrats Want Americans To Be 'Mad And Angry' For Holidays

A GOP lawmaker has claimed that the Democratic Party wants Americans to be "mad and angry" this Thanksgiving, not thankful.

"Democrats were focused on staying political this Thanksgiving, with the intent of keeping everyone 'outraged' and 'upset,' Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said," reports Washington Examiner.

"I’ve noticed from six years in Congress, watching the Left, [that] their business model revolves around keeping everyone outraged, keeping everyone mad and angry," Comer said.

"Thanksgiving is a day to reflect and be thankful, but the Democrats don’t like that," Comer argued, adding that the Democrats just want to "blame their outrage" on the Right.

"His comments come one day after the White House released a list of bulleted 'talking points' for people to use around the dinner table over the holiday. White House chief of staff Ron Klain tweeted that they would be useful '[for] when that Uncle comes at you about [President Joe Biden],'" reported Washington Examiner.

The "talking points" list includes a slew of "top accomplishments" by the Biden administration and Democrats.

Talking points included measures on infrastructure, lower prescription costs, and efforts to tackle inflation and rising gas prices.

Comer joked that his uncles wouldn’t be impressed with Biden’s accomplishments. He said they would instead tell the White House "what they can do with their wokeism and electric vehicles."

"I don’t think they’re going to find many uncles in America who are very pleased with the policies of the Biden White House, and their talking points aren’t going to go very far," Comer said.
