Impeachment is the word of the year in politics, and yet another Biden official finds themselves a possible target of an impeachment inquiry.
Energy Secretary Granholm now finds herself in the line of fire for allegedly lying under oath to Congress regarding her family's stock investments.
Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) is the one now calling for the impeachment inquiry, reported the New York Post.
Deception
Tenney called for the inquiry during a recent House Science and Technology Committee hearing.
She shared her remarks with Fox News, stating, "Since taking office in January of 2021, Secretary Granholm has violated the Hatch Act multiple times. She owned Proterra stock while her boss, President Biden, repeatedly promoted the company. Her husband owned Ford stock while she personally promoted the companies' work with official resources.
"And most critically, she lied, under oath, to Congress, claiming that you did not own any individual stocks when in fact she did. If anyone would like to dispute these charges, all the evidence you need is in the articles I submitted into the record."
Tenney concluded, "That's perjury, period. Why should you not resign or why should we not consider some kind of impeachment inquiry into you for your perjury charges?"
She is 100 percent right in everything she is saying, but let's be realistic about this.
With Democrats in charge of the Senate, the crime does not matter because Senator Schumer (D-N.Y.) and company will never cross the line to impeach her.
She may end up getting a censure, at worst, but they will not allow the GOP to have a win.
Believe me, I have a list of Biden officials that I wanted to be impeached, specifically Blinken, Garland, and Mayorkas, but Dems run the show right now.
This would merely be a waste of taxpayer money for something where Granholm would ultimately walk away without even getting rapped on the knuckles.
