Google is finally going to have to answer for its crimes.
In court.
The Republican National Committee is suing Google.
The specific allegation is that Google had been disproportionately sending conservative campaign mail to users' spam folders.
Many liberal emails, however, had no issue reaching their desired inbox.
Why would this be?
Because Google wants you to see liberal propaganda, not conservative values.
For the RNC, that is simply not good enough. Something needs to be done about the situation. As a result, they're taking action. And they're taking it NOW.
"This case is about a market-dominant communications firm unlawfully discriminating against the Republic National Committee … by throttling its email messages because of the RNC’s political affiliation and views," the claim reads.
"The only reasonable inference is that Google is intentionally sending critical RNC emails to the spam folder because it’s the RNC sending them," it concludes.
I couldn't agree more. It's unfair. It needs to change. This is a great place to start.
