GOP Finally Gains House Majority with Win in CA-27

Conservatives have let out a collective sigh of relief.

Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) has won his re-election campaign in CA-27.

That means that the GOP has finally secured a majority in the House.

Slimmest of Margins

There are still a handful of races going on, with Republicans holding the lead in three of them.

Plus, we still have to wait to see how the Alaska race turns out as it does not appear the leader will be at 50 percent.

Since Alaska uses ranked choice, there is still an outside shot that a Republican could overtake the Democrat currently leading the race, although virtually every second place ballot would have to fall Republican.

After winning the majority for Republicans, Rep. Garcia stated, "We're focused on getting out the votes and sticking to our message which is focused on security, above all things, whether its national security, border security, but above all things right now economic security.

"This is what people care about, they don't care about the drama the left is imparting on each other right now.

"They care about the economy."

He continued, "The bottom line is people don't like when you lie to them.

"This administration and the far-left have been lying to the American voters."

Yes, they have, and they continue to do so.

Now the only question is if McCarthy will have enough votes to secure the Speaker position and the message that he will put out to start to lay the foundation for an improved 2024.

I am completely against McCarthy getting the Speaker after this disastrous election cycle, as well as McConnell holding onto his leadership position in the Senate.

Unfortunately, we the people have no say in that vote, so all we can do is hold them accountable in the next election.
