Georgia Lt. Governor Comments on Willlis Investigation Being Reassigned

Georgia's Lt. Governor is looking forward to clearing his name.

Lt. Gov. Burt Jones just found that after Fani Willis was removed from an investigation regarding his alleged actions after the 2020 election, that investigation has now been reassigned and will move forward.

According to local reports, the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia has reassigned the investigation to try to tie Lt. Gov. Burt Jones to attempts to overturn the election results from 2020.

Investigate Me?

Willis had previously tried to open this investigation on her own, but she was disqualified from the investigation when it was revealed that she had sponsored a candidate in the race that opposed Jones.

That, however, did not stop Fulton County DA Fani Willis from going after Donald Trump.

Now, in a rather shocking announcement, a new prosecutor has been assigned to the case to open the investigation, and Jones is not taking this sitting down.

Jones was referenced nearly a dozen times in the Trump indictment, tagged as “unindicted co-conspirator Individual 8.”

At the time of the 2020 election, Jones was serving as a state senator.

Jones has been tied to Trump’s efforts to overturn the announced election results because he was on the slate of electors that had been picked by Trump allies who wanted to flip the Georgia results.

Jones is now seething, hoping to bury Willis in the process, stating, “I’m happy to see this process move forward and look forward to the opportunity to get this charade behind me.

“Fani Willis has made a mockery of this legal process, as she tends to do. I look forward to a quick resolution and moving forward with the business of the state of Georgia.”

The council's executive director, Peter Skandalakis, has been appointed to investigate whether Jones violated any laws after the election.
