Fox News Channel Producer Dead at 46

Fox News has had its share of tragedies over the last two years, and another one has been added to the list.

Producer Barry-John "Baz" Davies has passed away.

He was only 46 years old.

Gone Too Soon

Davies was reportedly battling an illness for some time, and his body finally succumbed.

The announcement of his death was issued by Fox CEP Suzanne Scott.

Scott made the announcement via a memo to staff members on Monday.

She wrote, "We have some sad news to share this afternoon.

"Barry-John ‘Baz’ Davies, who served as a producer in our London bureau, passed away yesterday after a long illness. He was just 46 years old.

"He was a beloved part of our team in London and was highly regarded by our colleagues there as well as by the many anchors and correspondents he worked with during his time at FOX."

Scott continued, "Throughout his tenure, he covered some of the most consequential foreign news of the last two decades, including the war in Ukraine, several G20 and G7 summits, Brexit, and the terrorist attacks in France and Belgium.

"He also took multiple trips to Iraq where he covered the ISIS uprising in Mosul and to Seoul to report on the tensions between North and South Korea."

Davies started with Fox in 2010 as an editor, eventually being elevated to producer.

Davies has also done some wartime coverage, having traveled to Iraq on numerous occasions, as well as producing reports on the tensions between North and South Korea.

According to Scott, Davies is survived by his wife, Sarah, and their two sons, ages five and three.

We extend our condolences to his friends at Fox News and his family.

Rest in peace, sir.
