Fox News Cancels Speaker Of The House Debate

Fox News isn't going to be able to pull it off.

They're canceling the speaker of the House debate.

After Kevin McCarthy, a Republican from California, was removed as the speaker of the House, Fox News decided that it would host debate between the frontrunners to take over that spot.

The three names being mentioned most frequently were:

1) Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio.

Jordan is an ally of Donald Trump, so many MAGA Republicans would love to see him in charge.

2) Steve Scalise, America's Number 2 House Republican.

Fans of Matt Gaetz, the man who ousted Kevin McCarthy, love Scalise because Gaetz has already praised Scalise.

Scalise is also known for his patriotism. In 2017, he was shot, but soon returned to work for the American people. He said of the incident:

During that time, I was often asked why after nearly losing my life because of this job I would want to go back. But it was never a question for me: I love this country, and I believe we were sent here to come together and solve the immense challenges we face.

3) Kevin Hern, Chairman of the Republican Study Committee.

Hern has already been endorsed by prominent Republican Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado.

She called him a "unifier" who could finally bring Republicans back together. Hern seems to think the party needs somebody like him as well.

"We're doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results where leadership just keeps ascending through the ranks. People have asked me about looking at an alternate choice," Hern said. "And so, I'm going around talking about this issue with other groups of people and see if their votes are there."

Fox News HAD been planning to have a debate between at least two of these guys, but that plan appears to have fallen apart.

"I will not be participating in the televised debate," Hern announced. "We need to make this decision as a conference, not on TV. The Republican conference needs a family discussion."

After Hern's announcement, Jordan and Scalise apparently got together and decided that they would withdraw from the debate as well.
