Fox News Awkward Hot Mic Moment

I thought everyone at Fox News loved Elon Musk, but that does not appear to be the case.

A hot mic during a recent broadcast picked up comments about Elon Musk that surely startled some conservatives.

As Bret Baier was talking about the possible future of elections and Musk in the GOP, "Oh Lord" could be heard in the background.

The New Republican Party

I think we can all agree that today's Republican Party looks nothing like it did even 10 years ago.

However, even the most outrageous of predictions could not have imagined Elon Musk as part of the party.

However, we would all be remiss if we ignored his contribution to this race, as it clearly helped Trump.

Not only that but Musk is expected to play a key role in Trump's administration to start to cut government waste by eliminating redundant and unnecessary agencies.

So, it is fully understandable when Baier observed, "You know, the question is, what the Republican Party looks like now.

"It's a multiracial party, to your point, it's working class, and maybe it's the future. I mean, it's Elon Musk. It is Joe Rogan and podcasts."

That is when the "Oh Lord" could be heard in the background.

Trump loves Musk now, stating after the election, "We have a new star, a star is born: Elon.

"He's an amazing guy,' Trump said. 'He's a character, he's a special guy, he's a super genius."

Anyone who knows me knows I loved the fact that Trump ran in 2016 and turned the system on its head.

My only disappointment was that Trump never evolved away from that brash personality.

This time around, while he did not give it up altogether, he clearly got his message through on policy, and quite honestly, I love the new look of the GOP.

It's about time we got rid of the crust and brought some new blood into the party.
