Former White House Attorneys Predicts Judge Cannon Could Be Removed from Case

When you look at all of the Trump cases that have or will be tried, there is only one judge who has not been sticking it to Trump.

That would be Judge Aileen Cannon, whom Donald Trump appointed to the bench.

After several rulings that have been deemed controversial by the media, as well as significant criticism from Special Counsel Jack Smith, her removal is being predicted by former Trump White House counsel Ty Cobb.

She’s Done

Cannon was already under fire for several of her previous rulings being overturned by the appellate courts.

When she then issued her guidelines for jury instructions, many legal experts in the media stated that she was setting up the case to make it very difficult for Smith to get a conviction in the classified documents case.

The deadline for the defense and prosecution to issue their recommendations for the instructions passed this week, and Special Counsel Jack Smith obliterated Cannon in his filing, questing if there was even a legal premise for her guidelines.

On that matter, former White House Counsel Ty Cobb stated, “I think that Jack Smith — I think the filing today makes it plain that she has to rule, and if she doesn’t rule under either scenario, they’ll be in a position to take her up to the 11th Circuit.

“And I think the 11th Circuit will likely take her off the case.”

Cannon has not yet set a trial date for the case and has brushed aside Smith’s desire to have this in the courtroom as soon as possible.

Cobb called her delays “extraordinary,” adding, “I think the evidence is just too overwhelming.

“I mean, yes, she may be incompetent, but at this stage of the game, her incompetence is so gross that I think it clearly creates the perception of partiality, and her attempt to put her thumb on the scale.

“So, I think that should disqualify her.”

This was already going to be a tough case for Trump to win, but if Cannon gets removed and a Democrat-appointed judge gets assigned the case, his chances go from slim to none.

If that happens, Trump will be relegated to the strategy I believe he will need to win his other cases, which is to appeal and take them to the Supreme Court if necessary to get relief.
