Former WH Lawyer Believes Supreme Court Will Overturn Colorado Ruling

When the Colorado Supreme Court issued its ruling to remove Trump from the ballot, it sent a shockwave through the political world.

Every talking head in the business chimed in about how they thought this would all play out when the case goes before the Supreme Court.

Among them was former White House counsel Ty Cobb, who believes the court will overturn the ruling, 9-0.

The Crystal Ball

The Supreme Court is clearly going to have to take this case and set a precedent. With so many other cases still in the works, the issue must be settled once and for all.

According to Cobb, the court is likely to rule 9-0, which would hopefully shut down any narratives the Democrats are pushing to create chaos in this country right now.

Cobb stated, “I think this case will be handled quickly. I think it could be 9-0 in the Supreme Court for Trump.

“I do believe it could be 9-0, because I think the law is clear.”

He continued, “The Supreme Court though will not hesitate to move quickly on this; they know what the stakes are. They know what their responsibility is.

“And they can delay some of these Colorado dates to the extent that they feel they’re obligated to or have to.”

Most would agree with the point that the court will have to settle is whether Trump needs to be indicted for insurrection or lending aid to an insurrectionist before the 14th Amendment can be activated against him.

Now, there is another aspect of this that we really need to consider that could set Trump up for impeachment once he takes office.

Let’s assume the court overturns the verdict, but then Trump wins the presidential election and decides to pardon the January 6 defendants who were convicted of sedition. Would that then be considered lending aid to an insurrectionist?

If the court interprets such a pardon in that manner, then Trump would immediately open himself up to impeachment under the 14th Amendment, Section III.

I can think of no other way to describe this other than being a hot mess, and it is only going to get worse if Trump gets the nod and faces off against Biden in a general election.

Notice how quiet, at least for the most part, Democrats have been about Trump during the leadup to this primary race. Well, that will change considerably if Trump wins the nod because all bets are going to be off, and Democrats will use every tool in the box to prevent Trump from getting back into the White House.
