Former Trudeau Adviser Says PM’s Future in Doubt
As we have reported prior, the future of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in jeopardy regardless of how the October election pans out.
Frankly, I would be amazed if he lasted that long, considering the upheaval in Canada right now.
Having said that, a former adviser has also stated that Trudeau’s days may be numbered.
Time for Change
The Liberal Party in Canada is hanging on by a thread right now, and much of that is because of Trudeau’s leadership.
There are already calls for his resignation, especially after Trudeau agreed to hold the Israeli Prime Minister accountable for war crimes if he enters Canada and Trump’s threat of tariffs.
Trudeau’s former chief adviser Gerry Butts seems to be on the same page, believing that if the Liberal Party wins the election, it will not be Trudeau that will be calling the shots.
Butts posted a column in The Canadian Press, stating, "If, as is now widely expected, Mr. Trudeau's resignation is imminent, the only way forward is a real leadership race.
"If you want to know who can play hockey, put on a hockey game. It doesn't matter who you think you support at this moment, we'll all have a more seasoned view if we see these people in live action."
When Trump recommended Wayne Gretzky, the former NHL legend, it really stirred a pot.
My opinion is that the only way the Liberal Party will win the next election is if they announce that Trudeau will not be leading the party any longer, and I am not sure if even that is enough.
Canada is still getting rocked by ridiculously high inflation, and the taxes are through the roof.
I have a friend who lives in Canada and he has told me I am pretty much dead on regarding the temperature in the country concerning Trudeau.
I expect to visit him in the spring so I can get a much better feel on the ground in terms of Trudeau's future, but from what I have been told already, they are very much looking forward to change.
