Former Obama adviser David Axelrod said that President Joe Biden's age is an issue for many voters.
Axelrod shared the concern during a Sunday interview on CNN about the 2024 presidential election.

“I have no concerns about polls a year out. I mean, you have to look at them and analyze them and adjust. But I was in a situation as a strategist for Barack Obama in 2011 where we were facing some difficult polls," Axelrod said.
"The one number in the polling that was concerning, and in the CNN poll that followed after The New York Times poll, had to do with age, and that is one thing you can’t reverse no matter how effective Joe Biden is behind the scenes. In front of the camera, what he’s projecting is causing people concerns, and that is worrisome,” he added.

"Former President Obama’s senior adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested President Biden drop out of the 2024 presidential race in the wake of a new poll showing the incumbent trailing former President Trump," the Hill reported last week.
"Pointing to a New York Times and Siena College poll published Sunday, Axelrod wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter: 'It’s very late to change horses; a lot will happen in the next year that no one can predict & Biden’s team says his resolve to run is firm,'" it continued.
Biden has continued to give voters concern over issues related to his age and health. During a wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday to commemorate Veterans Day, the president appeared unclear of what was happening or where to go.
He is already the oldest serving president at 80 years old. Biden would be 86 at the end of a second term.
Some Democrats are hoping for a late candidate change that could improve the party's chances next year, but Biden has so far shown no indication of stepping down.
Axelrod's comments have certainly fired up many in the mainstream media as he sounds the alarm over Biden's chances next year against former President Donald Trump.
