Former Lawmaker Blasts MSNBC ‘Morning Joe’ for Meeting with Trump

“We know we’re right.” That is the narrative that Democrats continue to spew even though they got clocked in the last election.

Former lawmaker and MSNBC analyst David Jolly said those exact words while blasting Joe Scarborough for having a meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

Jolly seems to think continuing this fight against Trump will flip the cycle and help Dems out.

We Were Right

Listening to Jolly, it is clear that he just does not get it.

Trump winning the popular vote was about as big a slap in the face to Democrats as they could get, yet Jolly continues to hold the line.

He stated, "We didn’t wake up after the election and think, I’m upset because I was wrong. We’re upset because we know we’re right, but we’re on the losing side of this battle. And so what does that mean for a responsible media, for a responsible electorate, for a responsible Democratic Party in this environment?

"Don’t just say we’re going to give equity to Donald Trump, which some people are doing in the Democratic Party, in media, among the electorate."

To that point, he shredded the “Morning Joe” co-hosts for daring to have a sit down with Trump after he won the election.

Jolly continued, "No, that’s absolutely wrong. You can’t do that. Forgive me for saying this. You can’t go to Mar-a-Lago. You can’t do it. That’s going to get me in trouble.

“You can’t do that. You have to hold Donald Trump accountable for being wrong.

“You have to hold all of his allies accountable for being wrong, even if that means you’re in a losing environment and you’re threatening your own liberty and your own security as an American.”

Or maybe the media needs to be held accountable for the sheer volume of lies and misinformation it has been spewing to the American people over the last decade.

Mika Brzezinski pushed back, stating, "But for nearly 80 million Americans, election denialism, public trials, January 6, were not as important as the issues that moved them to send Donald Trump back to the White House with their vote.

“Joe and I realize it’s time to do something different, and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him.”

And by the way, election denialism did not start with Trump.

Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, and now Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) have all pushed back against their election losses to Republicans.

It is people like Jolly that will continue to hold the Democrat Party back.

It took a few years to settle in, but the American people have clearly had enough of the mainstream media being another arm of the Democrat Party.

It's time for people like Jolly to get off their high horses and come to the reality that what the establishment wants is far different from what the American people want.
